Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by KB Nutrition Solutions ("we", "us", "our"), to you ("client", "you", "your"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms whether you are booking an appointment for yourself or on behalf of a minor. By booking an appointment with KB Nutrition Solutions, you agree that you are at least 18 years of age, and if you are booking an appointment for a minor, that you are their legal guardian.

When you book an appointment with KB Nutrition Solutions you agree to the following policies:

1. Services Provided

  • We offer nutrition and dietary counselling, meal planning, and related services aimed at improving nutrition and health.

  • All advice and guidance provided are based on current evidenced-based nutritional knowledge and tailored to your individual needs and goals.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your health, dietary habits, medications, and any conditions that may affect your nutritional needs.

  • Inform us promptly of any difficulties or concerns.

  • Understand that results may vary based on individual circumstances and compliance with recommendations.

3. Bookings and Payments

  • To make an appointment, you must provide a mobile phone number and an email address. This is to ensure forms, communication and appointment reminders can be sent.

  • Appointments for face-to-face appointments must be made at the time of your appointment.

  • Payment for Telehealth appointments must be made prior to commencement of your appointment. A secure link will be sent to your preferred mobile phone number or email address for payment to be made.

  • Payment can be made with debit or credit card and is processed through Tyro Health Online. We do not accept cash payments.

  • Private health insurance can be claimed at the time of appointment.

  • Initial appointments are 60 minutes in duration and review appointments are typically 30 minutes. You may be required to book a 60 minute review appointment if you have not seen the dietitian for more than six months or for other reasons determined by your dietitian.

  • Late payment may result in suspension of services until payment is received.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • We understand that schedules may change. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is 50% of the scheduled service fee.

  • Failure to attend an appointment will result in the cancellation fee being charged.

  • Payment of late cancellation fees is due within 14 days. A $30 admin fee applies to late payments.

  • Cut-off times for arriving late to your appointment apply. If you arrive more than 30-minutes late for a 60-minute appointment or more than 15-minutes late for a 30-minute appointment, your appointment will not proceed, and the late cancellation fee will apply.

  • ​Appointments scheduled on a Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday) will need to be cancelled or rescheduled by the preceding Friday as our phones and emails are not monitored over weekends.

  • The late cancellation policy can be waived with the provision of a doctor’s certificate.

  • This cancellation and rescheduling policy does not apply to appointment packages

 

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy for Appointment Packages

  • This policy applies to all Appointment Packages (telehealth and face-to-face).

  • We understand that schedules may change. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment with less than 24 hours' notice will result in that appointment being forfeited from your package.

  • Failure to attend an appointment will result in that appointment being forfeited from your package.

  • Appointments scheduled on a Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday) will need to be cancelled or rescheduled by the preceding Friday as our phones and emails are not monitored over weekends.

  • The late cancellation policy can be waived with the provision of a doctor’s certificate.

 

6. Medicare Policy

  • KB Nutrition Solutions does not provide bulk billed services.

  • Medicare rebates are available for clients with valid Chronic Disease Management Plan referrals or Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan referrals from their GP.

  • To be eligible for a rebate, clients must provide a copy of the referral. Without these documents, a Medicare rebate cannot be processed.

  • Full payment is required prior to a Medicare rebate being processed.

  • Please see you GP to determine if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan or Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan. Whether you are eligible for a referral and how many visits/sessions you are allocated is at the discretion of your GP.

7. Confidentiality

  • Your privacy is important to us. All client information and discussions will be kept strictly confidential, except where required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

8. Liability

  • Our services are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional for specific medical concerns.

  • We are not liable for any adverse outcomes resulting from your actions based on our advice or guidance.

9. Termination of Services

  • Either party may terminate services at any time, with or without cause by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Upon termination, you are responsible for any outstanding fees for services rendered.

10. Modifications

  • We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or notification to you.
